A vascular surgeon specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of various vascular diseases, such as major arterial damage, carotid artery stenosis, and thoracic or abdominal aortic aneurysms. They also provide postoperative care following vascular surgeries. The surgeon carefully evaluates each patient’s condition, discusses possible treatment options, and develops an individualized care plan to ensure optimal vascular health.

What to expect during a vascular surgeon consultation?

During the consultation, the vascular surgeon will take a thorough medical history and listen to the patient’s symptoms and concerns. Previously performed diagnostic tests relevant to the patient’s condition are reviewed. If necessary, the surgeon may recommend further diagnostic investigations such as duplex ultrasound, CT angiography, or other examinations, or refer the patient to other specialists for additional evaluation.
